Movie Musings & Miss City Discover's First Giveaway!

“Hand me my purse, will you, darling? A girl can’t read that sort of thing without her lipstick.” – Holly Golightly

Ah, I adore Breakfast at Tiffany's. Or I should say, I really adore Audrey Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly. I think she is my beauty inspiration. And life inspiration. Or maybe the writers Truman Capote (novel) and George Axelrod (screenwriter) are the ones I should admire. Every soul involved in the filmmaking process seems to do it's part in breathing life into a film. I say thank you all

Speaking of writers, Richard Curtis has done it yet again. Made me cry. A very necessary cry. I went to see About Time last night, alone, and it was wonderful. Rachel McAdams is beautiful as ever, but the love story between father and son was what really hit the audience hardest. Curtis just gets tearjerkers. Love Actually, Notting Hill...basically I've learned from Richard Curtis that if you have someone running towards something their life emotionally depends on, the audience will undoubtedly cry. THANK YOU.

Some of you may have noticed that I am a Campus Rep for a couple of companies this semester. First, I have taken on somewhat of an earth-saving mission by promoting a Water Revolution through Bobble. Their mission is to create a water bottle that is beautiful in design, and responsible in respecting the environment. They have thoroughly succeeded if you ask me and anyone else who has enjoyed a Bobble lately. It's not just a water bottle, it filters (and if you live in New York City you know how important that is...) and it filters DAMN WELL. My roommates have both had their new bobbles glued to their sides. Straight up, they are also just really pretty to look at. I am starting my very first giveaway on Miss City Discovers today! It is a two-parter, people. First, comment on this blog post saying why you think it's important to have a Bobble (sustainability, hydration, etc.) and then I will pick 3 random winners to receive a free bobble! Don't you just love my roommate, Jess, striking a dance pose with hers, and of course the classic college guys hydrating up?

The second giveaway will be from my other amazing campus ambassador position with Vince Camuto. Vince Camuto has the most gorgeous boots, clothing, accessories, and so much more. I don't need to tell you, just check out their website by clicking here! They are always on trend. If you want to win some Vince Camuto swag, which will include perfume, sunglasses, pens, etc. then copy and paste the link to one of your favorite Vince items from their website, and tell me why you think it's perfect for this season! This time, I will pick 4 lucky winners, one of which will win a $50 gift card to the Vince Camuto website! To stay up to date for more Vince Camuto events, that me and my other brand ambassador, Doris, will be putting on, just check out my FB page

Good luck everyone!

Hey Jordan!

I love Vince Camuto jewelry. I've been looking for a bold statement ring for fall and fell in love with this one:

Also, a hobo bag:

The variety of textures make this something that can be worn at night or as a classy backpack.

This bracelet is just so cool... love the skulls:

And this simple beanie is just so cute:

Also, I think it's important to have a bobble because I remember learning in high school that water bottles NEVER decompose... how scary is that? I feel guilty just using them. We don't need any more in our landfills!
